Oh how I LOVE New York City!!!!!! ♥ So this past Saturday, May 14th, 2011, me, my Mom, Aunt Kim, Deedee, Sam and Lauren went to NYC on the bus trip. It was, as it always is, AMAZING. I seriously can't see myself living anywhere but there.

When we first got there, we came through so that we were driving through Harlem. There was a lot of homeless people up there. We got off the bus at Central Park right by the zoo. We saw a person with a big snake around his neck, Mom I think screamed or something, and said that it shouldn't be allowed LOL. So we went in Central park for a little bit and we went on the big rock. The view was amazing, you could see so much. The hard part was getting down.. The animals in Central park are so friendly, like the birds and squirrels. The birds are so funny because they fly so close to you. A couple times they flew close to Sam and she would duck, then my mom would scream. It was hilarious.

When we were coming out of Central park, there were like 3 or 4 horses that no one was riding, they were just standing on the side of the road eating with no person with them, so me, Lauren and Sam went over to pet them. I was getting a picture of Sam petting it, and she was facing me and the camera, and the horse moved its head toward Sam, and she literally thought it was going to kill her because she dodged that horse so fast..it was the funniest thing ever. I got the picture as she was moving....LOL!

We continued on walking and the next place we went to was Trump plaza. We got pictures of the Trump hotel and what not. It was cool.

Next, Aunt Kim wanted to show us FAO Schwartz. We walked there and we all split up when we got in, i went with Sam. It was so cool, especially the ceiling how it had the bright red lights all over the place. The whole place reminded me of M&M world. We wanted to see the big piano, which is where Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were for part of them Taking New York!

I was in the same room as them!! woooo!
http://kimkardashian.celebuzz.com/2011/03/14/making-music-with-kourtney-at-fao-schwartz/ We were in line to get on it and when we got up to where we were next, the person told us that he didn't think that we were on the guest list..turns out there was a little kids birthday party on it..LOL So we just went and watched. The people that worked there were amazing how fast they could go.
After we left there, we walked on 5th avenue, which I thought was Park Avenue, but wasn't. The stores were very expensive looking. Alot of them reminded me of my girl Nicki's songs!

Next, we went to St. Patricks Cathedral. The outside of the church looks like it would be the size of Our Lady of Hope in Whitehall, but once you go inside, its like you wonder where you are. Its absolutely HUGE and breathtaking. It seriously is beautiful. When I live in NYC, I am going to church there every week.

We started to look around, and there was sooo many people in there taking pictures, in the little gift shop, getting blessed (we think) lighting candles, and just whatever else. It looks like the church was millions and millions of dollars to build and design because there is so much to it and amazing detail. The alter is amazing, and everything in it looks new and expensive. We lit a candle, and went in the gift shops and just took pictures of everything. It was realllllly cool.
When we were leaving, I stepped on Sam's jeans for like the second time, and they ripped ever more LOL. On the bus ride home, it was oh so hot so she asked me to pull them up, and I ripped them alot...whoops!

We were so hungry by now because we hadn't eaten anything yet, so we walked back to Times Square and ate at Sbarros. I love it there, it was my second one I've been in in NYC. After we ate, we explored Times Square for just a little bit. We went in American Eagle and I got 2 shirts, and me, Sam and Lauren got on the billboard (my third time!!) I love doing that. One day I'll be with one of the Kardashians....

We went in m&m world and just looked around for a minute. We got a special coin thing that you blend together with a quarter and a penny, which I never knew thats how they worked...

Now time for SoHo! We took the Subway for my first time ever in NYC! It was such an experience. We get down there and literally don't know which one to take, how to get there, which ticket to purchase, nothing. We finally figured it out, because there isnt anyone down there to help you, and we get our tickets and go in. We go in, right, and we don't know which one to get on. We read the map thing and it said to get to SoHo, take either the A, C, or E train, I think. But we weren't even in the right section because the signs didnt say those letters. So we kinda just waited for a couple for trains to go by before we figured to move and go ask someone. We found someone in like a booth thing, but of course there wasn't any windows for us to talk to them on the side we were on. So mom went out to ask him,
on the other side. We figured out that on Saturdays, it doesn't matter which train to take, just ignore the letters. Ok.. Mom swipes her card to get back in with us, and it doesn't work.

On the metro card thing it says its a single ride for 2 hours, so we thought it was for one person that could use it for up to 2 hours. Nope. We were wrong, so mom ended up crawling under the bar thing so she could come back with us. LOL it was so funny. I didn't get the picture because at that time I was on my 2nd memory chip and the camera took a while to turn on because I had a lot of pictures on it. We finally got on the subway, and quickly, because Aunt Kim saw someone's arm get shut in the door. We didn't see any rats down there either, or that naked person who harasses people, not that we would want to see him...

The subway took off so quick that we almost all fell over, it was so funny. Mom and Aunt Kim asked this girl when we would get off if we wanted to get off in SoHo, and she didn't really know. But Aunt Kim started laughing hysterically, and we didn't know why. Turns out it was that girls breath was so gross. She couldn't stop laughing and it was obvious she was laughing at the girl for some reason LOL. We got off on the right place and we were finally in SoHo!! yayyyy! DASH!!!!

It didn't take long at all for us to find Dash. I spotted it first, I guess I have an eye for it.. It was on the other side of the street, and from where we were on the other side, you could see that there was a big line just to get into the store! It was really cool. We crossed over and waited in line, it wasn't that long of a wait. Only a certain number of people can go in at once, and there's a doorman who says when you can go in. We couldn't even all go in at the same time. Me and Sam got in first and we started to look around, all excited and stuff, and I tried to take some pictures, and some security guard comes up to me and says that I couldn't take pictures of the merchandise...ok... I didn't really mind though. There clothes are SO expensive, like a pair of short short shorts were like $200. They have all of the products they advertise, like Quicktrim and what not, and Kim's new perfume. I asked for a bottle of Unbreakable, and THEY WERE SOLD OUT!

I was mad, but I do already have it, so I guess I can wait to get another one. I ended up getting there $8 silly bandz and a $10 water. They are both cool though. I wanted to get a t-shirt that says Dash on it, but I forgot to look, and when I got home and googled their store, I found out it was $60. Ok... The reviews online for the store are sooo bad, but I LOVE it :) I wanted to get one of there candles or something, I don't know why I didn't..Next time!
So the Kardashians weren't there :( I knew that, because Kim was in Miami all weekend, and Kourtney and Khloe went there on THURSDAY and left FRIDAY! I MISSED THEM BY ONE DAY! UGHHHH!!!! So I knew they weren't there. We didn't see ANY celebrity :( God is waiting for us to catch someone special I guess :)
Soooooooo, literally before I wrote this, I see that Kourt tweeted....."
Spent an extra night in NYC w ! 'Clueless' and NY pizza... what could be better!?" AHHHH SO I could have seen her!!!!! I'm literally just realizing this now... I didn't even think she was still there because she tweeted "Ta-ta NYC! Loved kicking off the w today. If ur in NYC today or tomorrow stop by 2 get ur glam on w John Frieda." {on Friday} Oh well...
Next, we wanted to go to Canal street in Chinatown. My dad went to Chinatown when he was with Ben, and he saw like barrels of turtles and frogs and stuff out on the sides of the streets. So I thought that would be cool, and I figured they would be on Canal street, because everyone said that its a must see..
It literally took us 45 minutes, maybe more, to find Canal street, because we went a wrong way. We couldn't find it for the world, we kept looking and walking, and by this time we were hungry and SO tired. We saw a sign for the Holland tunnel which goes to like NJ or something and we laughed because we thought we were so far off. We felt like we were trying to find the World trade center sight again....
Turns out we were almost there. We finally got down there and it was NOTHING to brag about...NO frogs and NO turtles, no anything like that, it was all just knockoff stuff for low prices I guess..It was all the same stuff too, perfume and scarves and what not. There was literally a perfume section every other 'store' that looked exactly like the one before it. It was a big disappointment. Next time I have to do some research so I can find out where we wanted to go really is!
I had originally wanted to eat in Little Italy, but since we didn't even really do the street in Chinatown I wanted to do, I was kind of over downtown, and figured I was going to look up where stuff is so we can do it right when we come back, so we'll eat there then. So, we decided to take the subway back to Times Square and eat up there somewhere. We went down to the closest subway and got down there and the machines to buy the tickets said it wasn't excepting dollars at this point......Ok? We didn't just have a million quarters layin' around, and there was no exchange thing, so we had to go and find another one. By this time our feet were really hurting and we were very tired of walking.
But what were we gonna do? We looked and looked for another subway and we couldn't find one. We asked the workers in Maserati of Manhattan and they showed us where to go, and we found it easily. No troubles on this subway, because we knew what we were doing this time around :)
We got back to Times Square and had dinner at T.G.I. Fridays. It wasn't my first choice, but I didn't really care. We got a table on the second floor and it was right by the bathrooms so every time the boys bathroom opened, you could see someone peeing at the urinal LOL..It's really expensive in there, but it was good. I don't think I would go back there anytime soon, but it was just something new. After we ate, we just explored Times Square a bit more, I got like a picture frame thing of a bunch of signs on Broadway, and, then, we sadly went and waited for our bus to go home :(
It was another amazing trip with amazing people. The weather was awesome because it was supposed to rain, but we probably only got 3 little sprinkles on us the whole time. We did so much that we haven't done before, and it was SO much fun. I wouldn't trade anything we did there for something else, it was so fun and interesting. Even though I complain about some things, it all makes it New York City, my favorite place :) It made me love NYC more then I thought was possible, each and every time I go there. I had a wonderful day, which wouldn't have been possible without my wonderful family and friends. I love you guys ♥ xoxooxoxoxoxoxooxoxooxoxoxooxoxoxooxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxooxoxooxoxooxoxooxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxox :)
